The deadline for registering to vote in the Scottish Parliamentary Election was Monday 18 April, so if you’re not already registered, you are now too late to register vote on 5 May.

If you did get registered in time, well done – you are now registered to vote for life*

Once registered you stay registered and will be able to vote in all elections or referendums you are entitled to take part in.  So, no need to re-register for the EU Referendum.  If you missed the 18 April deadline but want to vote in the EU Referendum click on the Register to Vote button at the foot of this page.

*Special electors who register by making a declaration because they are overseas, homeless or subject to different rules may have to renew their declaration periodically, but everyone else who is registered now stays registered until their circumstances change – such as changing address or changing their name.
