Normally revised electoral registers are published on 1 December and  updated on a monthly basis up to the following September.

For 2019 we are piloting additional updates to the register.  These will take place on 1 October* and 1 November**.

We have postponed publication of the 1 December 2019 revised registers to 1 February 2020.  This postponement was made due to by-elections being held during the annual household canvass period and ensured that the preparations for the General Election on 12 December 2019 were not interrupted with publication of a revised register immediately before the election.

Applications to register to vote made after 9 August are normally scheduled to be included in the subsequent revision of registers on 1 December.

We are piloting additional updates in the autumn.  Applications made during the period 10 August – 10 October that would normally be included in the 1 December revised registers will now be included in the updates on 1 October and 1 November.
