We have recently started to issue emails advising certain electors that their postal vote for UK parliament elections is due to expire in January 2026 and encouraging them to make a fresh application. Emails are sent from users with an email address ending @grampian-vjb.gov.uk or via a secure gov.uk messaging service with the address grampian.electoral.registration.office@notifications.service.gov.uk

Applications to vote by post at UK parliament elections can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote and you will need to provide your date of birth and national insurance number. You will also be required to upload a copy of your handwritten signature.

If you are unable to complete the online application, we will send you a paper application later in the year for you to complete and return.

Please note that this does not affect your postal vote arrangement for Scottish parliament or local council elections should you have one.
