Equalities
We are an organisation of modest size providing specialised services in relation to Lands Valuation, Council Tax Banding and Electoral Registration and recognise the duty we have to promote the equalities. Since the introduction of the new General Equality Duty on the public sector in Scotland, we have replaced our Race, Gender and Disability Equality schemes with a new single mainstreaming report that identifies three specific equality outcomes that we will seek to acheive.
In 2015 we will report on progress towards meeting these outcomes and in 2017 we will identify new equality outcomes for our organisation to seek to meet.
In line with the new General Equality Duty we are committed to eliminate unlawful discrimination, advance equal opportunity and foster good relations between people who share the protected characteristics (as detailed in our mainstreaming report) and those who do not.
