This legislation is intended to create more open and accountable public authorities by providing greater rights of access to information. The Act places a duty on both the Board and Assessor (who are defined as separate public authorities) to produce Publication Schemes dealing with the availability of information in their possession.
The Board and Assessor schemes are available by clicking on these links and from 1 January 2005 you are able to request other information (subject to certain exclusions) not dealt with in the schemes.
