EU
citizens may choose to register to vote in relation to European
parliamentary elections in the UK rather than their home state (and see below for other languages).
If you will be unable to vote at your allocated
polling station you can choose to vote by post.
If postal voting is not convenient eg you may be away from home on holiday etc close to the election or for other reasons you can have someone else (a proxy) vote on your behalf.
In the case of a medical
emergency taking place 6 days or less before an election you can apply up
until 5.00pm on election day.
If you are a British citizen
living overseas you are still able to vote at certain elections in the UK
provided you were registered to vote in the UK within the last 15 years.
